Eurythmics - We can and will not resist

British synth pop duo, composed of an English multi-instrumentalist, Dave Stewart, and a Scottish singer, Annie Lennox, whose appearance is as overwhelming as her musical talent is.

Eurythmics band name origins - Dalcroze dance techniqueThe two apparently once stated that Eurythmics is a contraction of European and Rhythm.

But it could also be that they conveniently took up the dance technique described by the Encyclopaedia Britannica as the ‘harmonious bodily movement as a form of artistic expression - specifically, the Dalcroze system of musical education in which bodily movements are used to represent musical rhythms.'

We can and will not resist.
