Ice Nine Kills - Atlantic Ocean on the rocks

What does Ice Nine Kills mean - Cat's Cradle - Kurt Vonnegut - 1963This formation, which mainly deals with experimental post hardcore, comes from Boston, Massachusetts.

Lovers of Kurt Vonnegut’s literary works will of course instantly recognize the term Ice Nine (spelled by Vonnegut as ice-nine): it appears in the book Cat's Cradle (1963), in which the author describes how a quantity of water immediately freezes when one drop of ice-nine is added - even if it’s so hot outside that dogs chase cats walking.

Just try to imagine for a moment what it would mean if such a drop would fall into the Atlantic Ocean. Ice Nine Kills indeed!
