Iron Maiden - Hang in there

No less than thirty-five-odd years of labouring: the East London-based heavy metal band Iron Maiden is by now accountable for some thirty albums; they will not stop for a while yet.

Iron Maiden band name origins - Torture deviceThe iron maiden their band name points to is a torture device that can be described as a sarcophagus covered with nails in which people can be tortured while standing by setting about them with knives, nails and other pointed objects through openings in the chest.

The image explains everything.

This treatment makes the tortured feel about the same as having to listen to all Iron Maiden albums one after the other.

Active: 1975-present, GBR
