There is a rural ring to Rancho Santa Margarita in California, the home of this American hard rock band, consisting of former members of Guns 'n' Roses, Wasted Youth and The Stone Temple Pilots.
At the launch a fair amount of time was spent arguing before a band name could be determined. One wanted Revolver, another Velvet; after that Black Velvet, Black Revolver and Black Velvet Revolver were considered. Velvolver and Revelvet were also given a chance. But it became Velvet Revolver after all.
Would the band have been from Sweden, they would probably have considered Velvet Volvo.
