Talking Heads - Hold

Talking Heads band name idea - Bull statue New YorkCelebrated American rock and new wave band from New York City, New York, with David Byrne as perhaps the most famous band member.

Talking head is the condescending term for the head of a TV presenter or news reader brought prominently into vision. According to bass player Tina Weymouth a friend of the band members came up with the name. It was a phrase he had found in a TV guide, summarized as 'all content, no action'. Weymouth thought it was very appropriate.

Some claim - but they must be rambling - that talking head is a pastime in which cunnilingus (giving head) is skilfully combined with talking.
