Current 93 - Blowing in the wind

Current 93 name origins - Aleister CrowleyBritish electrified band that exults in experiments with genres such as apocalyptic folk, dark ambient, neo folk and post-industrial rock (please don't ask us to define all this).

Current 93 should actually be called 93 Current, because that is the term introduced by Aleister Crowley.

Besides mountaineer Crowley also was a poet, actor, yogi and – perhaps – a spy, but first and foremost he was an occult writer, an author who managed to inspire musicians like Jimmy Page, Ozzy Osbourne and Daryl Hall. Now you know which way the wind blows.

The term 93 Current by the way is Kabbalistic: the pointless fiddling about with figures Crowley was so fond of.

Active: 1982-present, GBR
