Band name Fine Young Cannibals explained - All_the_fine_young_cannibals_posterFrom Birmingham and set up by two members of The Beat, David Steele and Andy Cox. The band was also known as Two Men a Drum Machine and a Trumpet.

For the name FYC they looked into the world of cinematography: source of inspiration was the film All the Fine Young Cannibals (1960), directed by Michael Anderson, starring Robert Wagner and Natalie Wood.
