Pantera - A rare sight nowadays

Arlington, Texas was the production site of the now defunct heavy metal band Pantera, once founded by the brothers Vinnie Paul Abbott (drums) and Dimebag Darrell Abbott (guitar).

In the beginning their band name was longer: Pantera's Metal Magic. Those last two words point out that Jesus Christ ('Joshua ben-Pantera') probably was not the name giver of the band and that inspiration was not sought in the Portuguese or Spanish word for panther either, but rather that a car modeled for the band name.
