Pencey Prep - School for teenage rebellion icons

What inspired band name Pencey Prep - J.D. Salinger - The Catcher in the RyeFusion of punk bands Sector 12 and Stick Figure Suicide, resulting in a hardcore band that only hung around for about four years.

Pencey Prep is the name of the school Holden Caulfield went to, the leading character of the world famous novel The Catcher in The Rye by J. D. Salinger. According to the writer the school is in Agerstown, Pennsylvania. Caulfield is expelled from that school.

We could have mentioned here why that happened, but we figured that it's more fun to discover that by reading Salinger's book.
