Silver Apples

Electronic duo from New York, one of the two founders, Simeon Cox III (aka The Simeon), meanwhile, has died. The other half, drummer Danny Taylor, continued the business.

The name the duo adopted comes from a poem by poet W.B. Yeats, entitled The Wandering Aengus. The last verse of the poem reads:
What inspired band name Silver Apples - Yeats-_Song-of-Wandering
Though I am old with wandering
Through hollow lands and hilly lands,
I will find out where she has gone,
And kiss her lips and take her hands;
And walk among long dappled grass,
And pluck till time and times are done
The silver apples of the moon,
The golden apples of the sun.
