D.A.M.N.

D.A.M.N. band name explanation - Pontifical_Mass_-_15th_Century_-_Project_Gutenberg_eText_16531Hip hop band from Eindhoven in the Netherlands with a core consisting of rapper L. Rock (real name Ricardo Leverock) and DJ Bass (Joost van der Linden).

Together with others D.A.M.N. recorded a mini album in 1989 - considered by many to be the first true Dutch hip hop album – that was given the title Don't Accept Mass Notion - which immediately explains the band name.

If Google would have existed at the time the band came up with the name we would have guessed the title was the result of a Google Translate session.

Active: 1987-1991, NLD
