Flower Pot Men - The sixties in a few words

British pop group that became known not only for singing in three voices but also for the song Let's Go To San Francisco. That number flourished perfectly in the tradition of flower power and smoking pot, two facts clearly and ingeniously grafted onto the band name.

How did Flower Pot Men get their band name - BBC series - Bill and Ben the Flowerpot MenThe original Flower Pot Men were devised by the BBC: they were the main characters made from flower pots in a puppet movie that was intended as a kind of early Teletubbies or Sesame Street.

The heyday of these two rather woodenly moving males was in the 50s and 60s of the last century, although the characters were raised to cinematic life once more in our times.
