Disco Biscuits - Hooked

Livetronica band from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The quartet initially had the plan to come up with a new band name for each new performance, until they found out that this policy crumbles any attempt to build up name awareness.

Why band name Disco Biscuits - Quaalude advertisement, 1971. Archives of General Psychiatry, Vol. 25, No. 5, pp. 30-32.A friend of the band suggested at one point to go and find some disco biscuits. 'Fine name!' the musicians called out in unison.

Later they found out that the term disco biscuits is synonymous to Quaaludes, a highly addictive synthetic painkiller (methaqualone is the scientific name).

But it was too late, they were hooked to the band name.
