Rock band from Albany, New York, known for a cocktail of music and comedy, and built upon the remnants of a preceding comedy jug band from the post hippie age, the Star Spangled Washboard Band.
Blotto was the name of a dog with magic powers that set off on adventures in the novel Nightlife of the Gods by Thorne Smith.
Blotto is also the title of a Laurel & Hardy-film from 1930 in which Stan and Ollie had a drop too much (of what later appeared to be cold tea).
Not surprisingly Blotto is a slang word meaning 'very drunk', a state of body and mind also known as besotted, blind drunk, crocked, fuddled, pie-eyed, slopped, sloshed, smashed, soaked, soused, sozzled, squiffy, pissed, pixilated, plastered, cockeyed, loaded, wet, stiff or tight.
