Power Station

As the name suggests: Power Station was a supergroup, with Robert Palmer as vocalist, Duran Duran members John and Andy Taylor on bass and guitar and former Chic member Tony Thompson on drums.

Power Station band name explanation - Battersea_Power_Station,_London-22May2010The formation did not keep going very long but some of their work was preserved for posterity nevertheless, mainly rock and dance music.

That happened at Power Station Recording Studios, a recording studio on 53rd Street in New York.

The studio still exists, but is now called Avatar Studios.
