Cuby + Blizzards

How did Cuby + Blizzards get their band name - snowdogLegendary blues band from Grollo (as the village was then called; now it is called Grolloo).

We spell the band name here as the bad did on the first records (so with that 'plus sign'); the spellings Cuby & The Blizzards and Cuby and The Blizzards also occur. In some cases Cuby was even replaced by the letters QB.

Regarding Blizzards: that was just found in an English dictionary.

But the name Cuby deserves further explanation: Cuby (actually Koebie) was the name of the little dog of the neighbors of the all too early deceased (2011) singer Harry Muskee.

Active: 1964-2011, NLD
