Troy's Bucket - Going but not gone

Where does band name Troys Bucket come from - the-goonies - Steven SpielbergThey play a kind of brass rock drawing on punk and ska by the looks of it, and they took a break for a while, these men from San Diego, California. But on the occasion of the silver jubilee of the film The Goonies (in 1985 for the first time in the cinemas), the band was relaunched in 2010.

This gives us a handle on the origin of the band name: Troy's Bucket gets its name from the family film The Goonies, the screenplay of which was written by Steven Spielberg.

The film is about a group of children who get hold of a treasure map. During their adventures they also get to deal with a bucket ('Troy's bucket') and a well, all good for a few exciting scenes - we will of course not tell you how it all turns out.

Active: 2004-2005; 2010-present, USA
